High School Certificate Equivalency System

All students with a foreign high school diploma or those attending foreign high school, who wish to request actual Equivalence Certificate or Provisional Equivalence Certificate, in order to apply for an international undergraduate program of Chulalongkorn University.

Admission & Requirements

Qualification of applicants

Applicant must have completed or presently be enrolled in their final year of high school, or its equivalent levels according to the condition set by Chulalongkorn University.
1.1 Applicants must submit all of the following three required documents in which at least 2 out of 3 score results must meet the requirements.
1.1.1 One of the following English Proficiency Test Scores:
TOEFL (Paper-based)
⩾ 550 or
TOEFL (Internet-based)
⩾ 79 or
IELTS
⩾ 6.0 or
SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing)
⩾ 500 or
CU-TEP (Chulalongkorn University Test of English Proficiency)
⩾ 80
1.1.2 One of the following Mathematics Test Scores:
CU-AAT (Chulalongkorn University Academic Aptitude Test, Math Section)
⩾ 450 or
SAT (Math)
⩾ 490 or
SAT II (Subject Test) (Math Level 2)
⩾ 600
1.1.3 One of the following Science Proficiency Test Scores:
CU-ATS (Aptitude Test for Science of Chulalongkorn University, Chemistry)
⩾ 380 or
SAT II Subject Test (Chemistry)
⩾ 560
Applicant who meet only 2 out of the 3 requirements from item 1.1 must still achieve a minimum score as follows:
1) One of the following English Proficiency Test Scores:
TOEFL (Paper-based)
⩾ 500 or
TOEFL (Internet-based)
⩾ 61 or
IELTS
⩾ 5.5 or
SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing)
⩾ 450 or

The official score report of the tests in 1.1.1, 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 or 1), 2) and 3) is valid only if the tests were taken no more than two years prior to the application deadline.
1.2 Have good behavior and be willing to comply with the rules and codes of Chulalongkorn University.
Applicants must pay the application fee in cash directly at any branch of the Siam Commercial Bank. Payment must be accompanied by the Payment Form and made within the payment period specified. After making payment, students must keep the "For Applicant" section of payment form, submit a copy of this section with the Application Form to the BSAC International Office. The receipts will be issued and given on the day of interview.

Application package

Applicants must submit the required documents with the complete application form as follows:
  1. Three recent one-inch (1″) photographs
  2. An official high school transcript
  3. Documents of qualifications according to items 1.1
  4. A letter of certification of student status from the applicant’s school (requirement for those in Grade 12)
  5. One copy of identify card or passport for foreign students the applicant’s passport
  6. Two postage pre-paid envelopes, addressed to yourself
  7. A copy of the application payment slip (For Applicant)
Incomplete application package will not be considered.
The Application Payment – 1,000 baht (US$30). Please note that, application fee is non-refundable in any circumstance.
