Children who grow up in slums face a variety of challenges such aseviction, drug abuse, and limited education and employment opportunities that hinder their mental, physical, creative, and social development. The Duang Prateep Foundation,our project sponsor, works to alleviate the immediate suffering of the children in the Klong Toey slum in Bangkok. The goal of our project was to design safe playground equipment that addresses these developmental needs. Our equipment designs accomplishedthis goal, while providing additional benefits to the surrounding communities.
